8 Tribe Roots & Lineage

8Tribe prides itself on its roots which trace back to the world renowned Sityodtong school of Muay Thai. Ronnie Najjar had the great fortune of being trained by the esteemed Kru Jeab, who was one of Kru Yodtong’s fighters. Kru Yodtong is often regarded as the most influential Muay Thai trainer in history and Kru Jeab went on to become one of Australia’s most respected trainers as well.

Thanks to this remarkable pairing, Ronnie was able to take his style to the next level, learning how to combine Kickboxing and Muay Thai, from 3 x World Champion Ian “Powerhouse” Jacobs.

The combination of these two martial arts legends gave Ronnie an incomparable insight and enabled him to create the signature 8Tribe hybrid of Kickboxing and traditional Muay Thai that he teaches today.
